Setting:
Okay, fine. As once said by a great scholar, "MARVEL: LIKE THE REAL WORLD, BUT SOMETIMES PEOPLE HAVE SUPERPOWERS. ALSO, ATLANTIS IS REAL."

To elaborate on that, the Marvel universe appears much like our own in the 21st century. There are cities and technology and presidents and celebrities. The only thing that really differs are the sheer amount of super-powered beings, some genetic (mutants), some not (accidents), superheroes, aliens, countries not found in our own world, time-traveling, dimension-hopping, and so on. Whatever you can think of in a comic book, probably happened in the Marvel universe. Because it did. This is called "meta". But to elaborate, mutants were considered the minority of the world. Born with an "X-Gene", through puberty, they developed strange, unnatural powers and this caused them to be outcasted and oppressed, like many other minority groups through history. In response to this, the X-Men team was created, to fight against bad mutants and uphold the mutant name. And in contrast to that, many superheroes came together to form their own team, known as the Avengers. While they had no association with the X-Men usually, their motto was to take down bad guys that no one else could. They were made up of mutants, of regular heroes, of super soldiers, people who just happened to have powers, and the like.

In this world of strange entities and lands, there was Atlantis, an underwater masterpiece of a city that was centuries old, seeming to exist since the beginning of time. Atlanteans were humans that evolved to be water-born beings and they were much more intelligent than the average man, with technology and magicks that were so much superior to regular humans. They generally did not interact with the surface world, as they had no need to. Namora was born of Atlantis to an Atlantean man and a human woman, making her the only other Atlantean hybrid besides her cousin, Namor. Namor was the Atlantean prince, heir to the throne and soon-to-be one of the most powerful men in the world. As children, they were very close, so close that she was known as "Namora". While growing up, she had the blue skin like her seadwelling family and every other Atlantean, but it faded to the skin colour of the Caucasian, like Namor.

Namora grew up as royalty in the 30s to 40s, taking after her father to be an Atlantean courtsperson. However, eventually, good things have to end as the castle she lived in was invaded by raiders for treasure, killing her father in the process. Enraged, Namor and Namora joined together to hunt down the people who did this, with Namora permanently taking on the name, which meant "avenging daughter". From then on, they were a team against various threats and in crime-fighting and whatnot and it was all very silly and 40s.

This ended in 1955 when she met Jimmy Woo, an FBI agent, who attempted to recruit her for his "Agents of Atlas" team. However, she declined, instead, pointing him to M-11, an old-school, incredibly powerful robot, who would be recruited in her place. After this, Namora met and fell in love with an Atlantean man named Talan, where they had a rather unfortunate married life. Her mixed DNA made it impossible for them to reproduce and because of this, she went looking for a solution. Here, she found a man who created a genetic clone of Namora to raise as her child. However, cloning was forbidden in her culture and they never told anyone, naming her daughter as Namorita.

Namor soon disappeared, doing whatever it was he does, and Namora's husband was killed by an atomic bomb test, leaving Namora to return to a region of Atlantis, Lemuria, to start over. However, several years went by and she fell in love with the crown prince of Lemuria, Merro. This upset a woman named Llyra who attacked Namora and poisoned her, supposedly killing her and leaving Namorita an orphan.

So basically, Namora was dead for years.

An aged Jimmy Woo was determined in the idea that she was still alive, gathering together his old teammates to look for her. However, things happened that reversed his age that brought the team together. The Agents of Atlas then found M-11, who remembered Namora, discovering where she was buried. However, that was a fake, more stuff happened, and they discovered her frozen in an ice cave under the North Sea. They thawed her out and Namora was alive once more, joining the Agents of Atlas. From then on, she would be a permanent resident in the team.

More stuff happened! Turned out that the Golden Claw, this extremely stereotypical old Chinese guy who ran a crime kingdom, was actually preparing Jimmy to take up the mantle of leader of the Atlas organization and they were determined to work for good. So that led to a lot more shenanigans and meeting people and whatnot. Namora returned to the surface when she discovered that her daughter was murdered in battle, and when the Hulk returned from space (since he was shipped away into space by Mr. Fantastic, Iron Man, Blackbolt, and Professor Xavier for being too violent and crazy) to take revenge on those who shut him away, she joined the Renegades which consisted of Amadeus Cho, Angel, and Hercules. (Tiny Chinese genius boy, mutant with wings, and... Hercules.) They protected civilians while Amadeus attempted to win the Hulk over and later, Hercules and Namora discovered that they had strong feelings for each other. She then joined him on a vacation after the Skrull invasion, but were interrupted by Amazon warriors who had kidnapped her lord, Poseidon, as well as Amadeus. They fought it out, stuff happened with Artume (daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons), Namora's feelings for her cousin was revealed, and she left Hercules. But then Hercules was killed in this giant battle against Hera with the Avengers versus gods, and that was awkward, since the Agents of Atlas were trying to invade underground or something. Everything about that was weird.

Agents of Atlas does more stuff because Dark Reign (which, as we all know, is about Norman Osborn being a giant tool and taking over the US or something) is happening and Norman Osborn is a giant tool. Basically, they were manipulating Osborn while taking him down, and the team had more adventures that were amazing and should never end. For the most part, Namora worked as the muscle of the Agents of Atlas, never interacting directly with the big bad guys of the arc, and instead, fighting when necessary or in the background. She was rarely as involved as say, Jimmy or Bob the Uranian. For the most part, they took down former evil Atlas operations around the globe, while playing Osborn in regards to national security. At one point, they went to visit her cousin after finding out that he was working in Osborn's brain trust or whatever, and Namora and Namor consummated their feelings for one another, while she contemplated staying in Atlantis. That is, until she found out that it was a big plot by the Atlantean elders to get them together because of their mutations, and she pretty much went, "nope" to all of it.

Then she went back to the AoA City and more stuff happened that's really not important to anything, except character introspection and pretty art. (Though to be more elaborate, she returns to the sea to bring more lost colonies of Atlanteans to the new Confederation, discovering one where the people are physically trapped there. She fights a giant beast and they all go home.)

Personality:
Namora is power. She's power personified, strength and an indomitable nature backing her every move. At one point, Namora may have appeared as a gentle, kindly woman, but at the death and ruins of her family and friends, Namora has come so far gone from her former self that something like that seems impossible to imagine. She is considerably very aggressive, never taking no for an answer and always the first to charge into a situation. She often refuses to back down from a fight unless she's told to, but even then, she's done so reluctantly and angrily. She's fantastic to have alongside someone in a fight because she's incredibly loyal, amazingly so in fact. She's dedicated to all those who help her, proof when M-11 found her at the bottom of the ocean. Since then, anyone who touches him, she takes down without hesitation. She's loyal to a fault, a great soldier in this regard.

Like her cousin, the infamous Namor, she can come off as a bit overbearing and stuck-up because of the pride she carries with her genes. Because of this, every introduction she makes of herself always includes the fact that she is royalty from Atlantis, no matter whether it's relevant or not. This is one of the greatest examples of exactly how prideful she is, though it's also incredibly obvious in the way she carries herself and the way she looks at others. She has a tendency to appear very pretentious because of this, especially towards land-dwellers, but often times, she's found herself fighting to help her kingdom or the waters because of their mistakes and attitudes. However, she is always there to help them if it comes to it, proving herself to be merciful, but not so much that she's a pushover.

Because she's not, in anyway whatsoever. Namora is by no means someone that can easily be shoved around.

Namora, however, is the embodiment of how it means to be a queen. While she may seem merciless and ruthless, she by no means, only thinks with anger or frustration. Even if that seems to be a vast majority of her reactions, with the way she's quick to snap, and even quicker to act. She can be careful and considerate, a kind ruler. She's fond of those who are loyal and faithful to people, as well as those who refuse to desert in times of terror and fear. She's particularly doting to children, because of her own memories with her daughter. She can seem overprotective at times, as well as stern and commanding, but it is to insure protection upon others. But even then, she appears graceful and acts with elegance and some sort of infinite knowledge. Namora can also be very kind if it pleases her, as she's much more gentle than her cousin, but not to a point where she's weaker than him. She's simply more rational and thought-out when necessary, but not by much.

While she seems very cold, Namora can also be very cheerful when in the right mood. In fact, when she's with her Atlantean family, it's surprising how childish and playful she really is, making jokes and laughing. And even then, she has moments of innocence and even cuteness, such as when she was with Hercules or with Venus. When she's with people she cares about, does she take down the rather harsh exterior that she puts up. And times aside from that, she's prone to snark and rolling her eyes, or just making dry comments if the situation calls for it. Unlike Namor, she's not completely cold-hearted and obsessed with herself. While her emotions that she allows to come in contact with can be taken as a weakness, she allows it to make her stronger. She can be sentimental and even what could be considered happy at times, even if it's rather rare, but she is in no way, completely heartless. Despite her immense anger, she has shown frequent moments of mercy, even if they were often induced by someone convincing her otherwise.

However, despite all of that, Namora has a temper so powerful that it's almost overwhelming. While she's not quick to jump straight into a tantrum, she's quite familiar with being angry, often snapping at others or just answering harshly. When she gets angry though, it becomes almost uncontrollable, rivaling the temper of say, the Hulk or someone similar. While she doesn't go on a rampage, it's hard to pull her back or prevent her from causing some real damage. She tends to be very destructive, letting her anger blind her until she calms down, which often varies with how long it takes for that to happen. Like her Atlantean nature, she is very much a warrior and tends to react angrily even if it's her fellow sea-dwellers refusing to return to the Confederation. She holds a great amount of pride in her blood, despite being a half blood, and an even greater pride in herself.

Namora is particularly magnificent. She takes no nonsense from anyone, but manages to appear as a queen should. She's the kind of woman who never needs rescuing, and is always there to rescue the man, simply because she is powerful. She is fierce, independent, and Namora.

In Tushanshu, it is unlikely Namora will take the news of being between life and death well. After all, she had "died" once before, frozen in a block of ice for years while her daughter lived and then died during that time. She refuses to be taken away from things that are important to her because when she is gone, people always die, they always disappear, and Namora can't bear to idly stay away and let events like that happen. So Namora will be scarce to listen to explanations or reasons and instead, determined to fight her way out to get back to her team. It's not like she's headstrong and impulsive or anything.

Appearance:
Total ass-kicking Atlantean babe.

Or in other words, Namora, as an Atlantean, is impressive. She is tall at 5'11" and has a defined, well-muscled body of someone who's been swimming their entire life (which she has). She's entrancingly stunning like a siren, with pale skin and long, wavy blonde hair that curls around her face. She would appear like any normal woman that looked to be in her 30s (even if shes almost a century old), if it weren't for the pointed ears, the gill slits on her throat, and her ankled wings. (Oh, and the trademark Atlantean arched eyebrows).

She's often seen wrecking people's shit up.

And she's almost always seen wearing her team swimsuit. Winks.

Abilities:
Oh boy.

Namora is powerful. In fact, she's pretty overpowered. As an Atlantean-human hybrid, she's gifted with many abilities. Most notably is the fact that her lifespan exceeds humans to the point where she can live for centuries. But on top of that, Namora is capable of surviving underwater as a human does living on land. The environment of the sea is nothing to her -- she can see through the murkiest waters, survive the coldest temperatures, and the crushing depths don't bug her either. With her human genetics, she is capable of breathing out of water as well, which is something amazing I guess.

Namora has incredible strength. She can lift giant ships and ocean liners with ease, and the cap of her strength is currently unknown but its probably past several tons. She can swim at ridiculous speeds as well, faster than regular Atlanteans, even on their little sea-bikes and somehow, is capable of flight. (Which is her mutation. Because she's a mutant.) It's unknown whether her wings actually enable her to fly or not or if it's something else, but. She can do it. She is also nigh-indestructible and pretty much bulletproof. The only things that can pierce her skin are adamantium (no surprise there) and Atlantean weapons.

She is very dependent on the water though and is unable to stay away from it for long periods of time, otherwise she will become dehydrated and the more dehydrated she is, the more her strength drains. In fact, she is more likely to be killed by dehydration than anything else. However, even a few splashes of water will re-energize her. Being underwater also enhances her skills so while she may seem ridiculously over-powered on land, imagine how she must be underwater. (Hint, she can lift well over one hundred tons and survive explosions from bombs).

She can also speak to marine animals. Because why not.

As for the boring skills, Namora was raised to be a member of the royal court like her father, as well as a leader. Which means she gets all of those lessons -- public speaking (though she doesn't speak much at all), and all that Atlantean royalty nonsense. She is capable of speaking English, Icelandic, Lemurian, and Atlantean, and is exceptionally well-versed in most forms of combat. Other than that, who knows if she has any actual hobbies or skills.

Third Person:
No matter how long she stayed on land, returning to water was still the greatest experience for her. The world of the land was absolutely nothing to that of the sea. She didn't care for air or buildings or cities or soil or anything similar. All that mattered to her was the water washing over her, the deep blue, blue, blue around her, the fish and creatures and the bubbles emerging from her lips as she took a deep breath, plunging deeper into the ocean.

She often took breaks like this from the Agents of Atlas. From Jimmy's quiet concerns, Bob's careful glances, Venus' bright smiles, and Ken's constant jabs. She needed some time to herself. She needed the water.

And not because of her physiology. Like all hybrids, Namora needed to be immersed by water simply to keep up her strength. But she knew it was partly a psychological thing as well, as she could go for days without water, even if she preferred not to.

It was refreshing.

Namora swam further, watching the schools of fish pass around her. She could hear their whispers, the chatter of their conversations as they wriggled their tiny, teal bodies. Everything about the ocean was beautiful. (The human world was disgusting in comparison.) She had no plans on where she would go or what she would do. There were Atlantean colonies that needed to be found, to invite them to stay at the new capital of the Confederation. She spent her free time scouring for them, gathering her people under Namor's word and rule, despite her slight distaste towards it.

(She didn't hate Namor. But there had been issues boiling between the two of them, unspoken.)

Their whispers grew stronger, as well as the presences around her. Large, magnificent, Namora turned her head upwards to see a whale swimming past her, singing his song. He was telling her something -- someone needed her help. A boat that had hit an iceberg, sailors floating desperately in the water. She hesitated before pushing herself upwards, streaking towards the surface of the water with long blonde locks flying out behind her. She could see the sun peeking past the deep blue, and further past, the legs of the men kicking desperately. They would attract unwanted attention, with movement like that.

But of course, they didn't know any better. And why would they? Half of the land-dwellers who ended up in the ocean were often in the middle of hunting the creatures of her realm, something that angered her deeply by the thought of it.

(Often, she would find herself thinking these thoughts of frustration, but with all of her Atlantean pride, there was a part of her that swelled at the thought of her mother's species and the fact that she had the ability to breath air. Though it seemed like something so ordinary, she knew it was a skill to be proud of.)

She could hear their shouts and screams for help as she approached them. Namora shot upwards, bursting from the water like a torpedo, the wings at her ankles flapping. She floated there, against another blue canvas, but this one of a lighter colour with fluffy splotches of white behind her. The remains of the ship floated around them. She could see the larger pieces sinking underwater. They were silent now, staring up at her in horror, clinging to large chunks wood. A total of five, two sitting on what could be a makeshift raft.

"Fear not." Namora spoke up, staring down at them with bright blue eyes. "I am here to help. I am Namora, a princess of the Atlantean Confederation." She flew lower until her toes skimmed the surface of the water. They were in awe, as they should be. "I will help you to the nearest port, but be careful when treading these waters. There are many dangers that you should be aware of." There was a rope floating in the water and she bent to pick it up, typing it to the large piece of wood that the two men were on.

"Climb aboard."

They gaped for a few moments before swimming onto it, sliding together in a shaking, huddling, dripping pile and Namora flew forwards, clutching the rope in hands and dragging the rafter after her. One of them spoke his thanks after a moment and she glanced back at him over her shoulder, a smirk upon her lips. "There's no need to thank me. I'd rather your corpse not dirty my waters. Sharks would have certainly gotten to you if I had done nothing." She was harsh, maybe, but her words had affection to them. Even after all those years with the human race, they still fascinated and amazed her in as many ways as they managed to anger and enrage her.

But as one of them, humans truly were strange creatures. Though the longing of the waters remained, she felt the urge to return to the Agents of Atlas.
